OSI Competition: 5th class have entered a ‘Map My School’ competition through OSI (Ordnance Survey Ireland). The pupils have been working extremely hard on this project.
The Map My School competition sets out to bring map making and map reading skills to primary school children.
Pupils are required to draw a map of their school and its perimeter at a scale considered appropriate, decorating it with their creativity how they wish. The map should also show the scale used, a compass indicating orientation (north, south, east and west) and a calculation of the area covered by the school building and grounds.
